Telehealth: Confidential Video Sessions

Tailored & Strictly Confidential Video Sessions

Online Therapy (“Telehealth”) at Grace and Healing Psychotherapy

Grace and Healing Psychotherapy proudly offers secure and confidential online therapy services to clients residing in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida. We conduct our video sessions using Google Meet, a HIPAA-compliant platform that ensures your privacy and confidentiality throughout your therapy experience.

Our telehealth services meet the highest standards set by professional and state licensing boards, so you can feel safe and supported from the comfort of your home or any private location.

How to Prepare for Your Online Therapy Session

To help your session run smoothly and without interruptions, please follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Check Your Internet Connection

  • A strong, stable internet connection is key for clear video and audio. Aim for at least 1.5 Mbps upload and download speeds.
  • Restart your modem if needed by unplugging it for one minute and plugging it back in.
  • Disconnect or pause internet use on other devices in your home during your session to optimize bandwidth.
  • Close other programs or browser windows on your device, and stop any downloads or updates that might slow your connection.
  • Position yourself near your modem/router if possible.

Step 2: Choose a Private, Quiet Location

  • Set up your computer, tablet, or smartphone in a space where you feel safe and won’t be overheard or interrupted during your session.

Step 3: Adjust Your Lighting

  • Make sure your face is well-lit from the front. Avoid sitting with a bright window or light source behind you to prevent being silhouetted.

Step 4: Use Headphones or a Headset

  • Connecting Bluetooth earbuds or a headset can improve audio quality and prevent distracting echoes or feedback.

Step 5: Position Your Camera at Eye Level

  • Set your device so your camera is at eye level and your face is fully visible on the screen to help maintain connection and engagement.

Step 6: Arrange Your Screen for Eye Contact

  • During the session, place your therapist’s video near the top center of your screen, just below the camera, to facilitate natural eye contact.

If you have any questions about accessing Google Meet or preparing for your session, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to ensure your telehealth experience is as comfortable and effective as possible.
